Years after the creation of the Mbase 11 sample pack and sharing it with a select group of friends, a moment of inspiration struck. A conversation with Matt & Mark Thibideau about their label and its concept-driven releases ignited back the creative fire within. And so, "The Five Elements" was born—an expression of commited creativity, freedom from expectations, and the unbridled power of music to express the depths of the human spirit.

The journey began with a whirlwind of ideas—100 to be exact. From this creative bulimia emerged five, each carefully selected to be nurtured and brought to life. It was an exploration that liberated the mind from constraints, allowing the deepest recesses of the soul to create without limits.

"The Five Elements" is a dedicated homage to the Five Elements of Qi Gong—Earth, Metal, Water, Wood, and Fire. These elements are not just symbolic; they are intricately linked to vital organs, meridians, positive and negative emotions, and profound psychological qualities. Redrop's music serves as a sonic reflection of this intricate web of connections.

This release is a collection of tool-like pieces that oscillate between the realms of Deep, Minimal, and Dub. The intent is to keep the music raw and direct—a dedication to the rhythm that pulses at the heart of each composition. Each track is a sonic journey that navigates the interplay of these elements, creating a unique and dynamic soundscape.
